Support for Schools

In order to Support Schools/Areas, Curriculum and Quality works to:

  • Deliver School-driven CPL workshops
  • Participate in small-group consultations with senior academic developers
  • Partner in research and scholarship projects
  • Deliver Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Master in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Nested Suite

We believe that School-based support should be essentially driven by the Executive Dean, Head of School or Associate Dean Learning and Teaching identifying academic matters on which the School would like to focus.

The type of support Schools might like to access include, but are not limited to:

  • Professional learning
    • Curriculum development
    • Peer review of course outlines, Blackboard course sites, teaching and assessment
    • Moderation of assessment tasks
    • Learning design (blended and face-to-face)
    • Reflective practice
    • Transition curriculum
    • Academic integrity
  • Awards and grants
  • University strategic plan project implementation
  • Representation on the School Learning and Teaching Committees
  • Program review
  • Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) (research) projects

Innovation and Design can provide support for:

  • Blackboard and Turnitin workshops
  • Technology Enhanced Learning
