Fremantle

The University of Notre Dame's Fremantle Campus is on Whadjuk country, in the historic port city of Fremantle located at the mouth of the Swan River, just 14 km from Perth. This vibrant university town blends heritage architecture – colonial, late-Victorian and Edwardian – with a thriving student community. Some of Australia’s best-preserved convict-era buildings form part of the surrounding precinct, giving the campus a unique flavour and sense of place.

While Fremantle Ports remains a major revenue source, the area also features a commercial fishing fleet, lively al-fresco dining, independent boutiques and bookshops, weekly produce markets and cultural attractions – making it more than simply a university campus. Over time, the Notre Dame Fremantle Campus has become a key part of the city’s identity as a place of learning, innovation and heritage.
