Breastfeeding On Campus

Breastfeeding on campus

The University of Notre Dame aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for breastfeeding staff and students. If you intend to breastfeed (or express) on campus talk to your Manager or Lecturer to discuss any arrangements that need to be put in place (i.e. lactation breaks, an appropriate location to express milk in, safety considerations if bringing a child onto campus) and we welcome you to breastfeed (and express milk) on campus anywhere it is convenient and safe to do so.

  • Parent rooms on campus

Whilst we welcome you to breastfeed or express anywhere it is safe to do so, we recognise that some will require a secure room to feed, express and store milk in. We therefore provide a parent’s room on each campus that can be securely accessed. All rooms contain comfortable seating, a power point, a bin, a change table, and a fridge and sink either in the room or close by.
