Study support

The University provides study support to eligible employees to undertake an approved program of study that is directly related to their current position or career progression, and benefits both the University and the employee.

Study Support is available to employees employed on a full-time or part-time 0.5 FTE or greater basis and includes:

  • Study Leave of up to 4 hours per week to attend and travel to classes and exams, complete assessments, or private study; and
  • Financial Assistance for Study to assist with the payment of fees (via reimbursement) for up to 2 courses per year upon successful completion of an approved course at The University of Notre Dame Australia.

Employees should discuss with their manager their professional and career development goals as part of the Performance Development process, including their plans to undertake further education and to apply for study support. How to apply

Request for Study Support

Employees should discuss with their manager their career development goals and their plans to apply for study support at least 4 weeks prior to the commencement of their course.

To apply for study support employees must submit a manager approved Request for Study Support form to People and Culture prior to the commencement of their course.

Request for Financial Assistance for study

Financial assistance for study is available to employees studying at The University of Notre Dame Australia with an approved Request for Study Support prior to the commencement of the study period.

To apply for financial assistance for study employees must submit a Request for Financial Assistance for Study form to People and Culture once they have successfully completed their course.
