Updates to Zoom

Zoom continues to be an important part of our day to day digital communication. Because of this Zoom are continually looking at how they can improve the security features of their platform.

A new version of Zoom has recently been released, with additional security features.  To ensure the University is running the latest version the Information Technology Office will be updating Zoom on all Staff and Student computers on the evening of Friday 11th December 2020.

As a result of this all updated computers will automatically restart, so to ensure your work is not impacted, please sign out of your account at the end of your work day on Friday the 11th December; please do not shut down your computer, as it will not be updated.

Please note, the University's standards, policies and procedures still apply when using Zoom. Please refer to the following Guidelines: Zoom Etiquette for specific standards to be observed when using Zoom on and off-campus.
