Position, Contracts and Employment Forms

Positions

For any changes to an existing position or the creation of a new position, please complete one of the forms listed below. If the changes to the position will impact the individual currently in that role, it is essential to also complete the relevant variation to contract form.

Variation to contract

This form is required for any modifications to an employee’s contract. If the changes affect the position on an ongoing basis or extend over the calendar year, please also submit a Position Variance form. This ensures that all changes are accurately reflected and managed within our records. Please note that variations should allow 6 weeks to process and working arrangements should not be entered into until a signed variation has been processed.

Any variations to contract that do not fall under the above two categories, please contact your Senior HR Business Partner.

Flexible working arrangements

Use this form to request flexible working arrangements. If your request affects your working hours (FTE), please also complete the Request to Change FTE form.

Direct appointment

The University may consider a Direct Appointment in exceptional cases (fixed term). Use this form to directly appoint an employee. This form is applicable only to those covered by the Enterprise Agreement. A position and position description will need to exist prior to appointment, please refer to Positions for more information.

Work pattern

This form is for all changes to work patterns. If the change affects the FTE, please determine if you need to complete the Position Variance form and the Request to Change FTE form instead.

Higher duties

The form to submit Higher Duties is built into the P&C service portal. Please submit a ticket to initiate this process.
