Make a disclosure or report of sexual and gender-based violence
Individuals are encouraged to notify the University about any incidents of sexual or gender-based violence, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, or threatening and concerning behaviour.
Make a disclosure or report
You can choose to make a disclosure to inform the University, submit an anonymous report, or lodge a formal report through the online reporting portal. The University is committed to supporting the wellbeing of those impacted and respects your choice of whichever course of action is best for you.
The online portal is not monitored outside business hours. For an immediate response, contact emergency assistance.
Disclosure and reporting support
What happens after you make a disclosure or report
When you submit an online disclosure or report, a University Respect or Respect@Work Officer will contact you within two business days to listen, provide support and explain your options, prioritising your wellbeing.
If you submit a disclosure on someone else’s behalf, the Officer will only contact the affected person if that person has provided their explicit, direct consent to do so.
Officers are the first point of contact for all disclosures and reports. You are not required to make a formal report—your submission can remain a disclosure if that is what you choose. You can also change your mind at any time, including changing a disclosure into a formal report or stepping back from a report so it remains a disclosure.
If you decide to formally report about an incident of sexual or gender-based violence, the Officer will ensure you understand the process and will continue to support you throughout. If you prefer, they can also connect you with external support services during any formal investigation.
