  • Biography

    Dr Ajani De Vas Gunasekara is a Lecturer in the School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Notre Dame Australia (Sydney Campus).

    She earned her PhD in Mathematics from Monash University, Australia, in 2022, along with an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida, USA, in 2018, and a BSc Hons. in Mathematics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2015.

    Her research interests primarily focus on combinatorial design theory and graph decomposition problems within the domain of discrete mathematics.

    Dr. De Vas Gunasekara's research centers around discrete mathematics, with a focus on graph decomposition problems, graph coloring problems, and their applications in group theory, network science, and finance.

    Additionally, she has a keen interest in mathematics education at the high school and undergraduate levels as well as the intrinsic beauty of mathematics.
