Biography
Darryl is a lecturer in the discipline of Exercise and Sport Science. Building on his experience as a sports scientist in A-League football, he completed his PhD at the University of Newcastle in 2024, focusing on contextualising physical performance in association football.
He is also a qualified cricket coach, with expertise in batting and fast bowling technique, which has driven a research interest in bowling technique associated with lumbar bone stress injuries and performance.
He aims to produce pragmatic research with an emphasis on practical application.
