Dr Jayden Lee Roberts

Lecturer

  • Biography

Jayden Roberts completed his PhD in 2025 at the Australian National Phenome Centre, Murdoch University, where he investigated patient-centric blood microsampling as an alternative to conventional venepuncture. Using metabolic phenotyping approaches that combined nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometry, he profiled lipoproteins, lipids, and other small molecules to assess the equivalence of finger-prick samples to venous blood for lipoproteins and inflammation markers. As part of this work, he developed a dried blood spot workflow capable of analysing over 400 lipids, which he successfully translated to a diabetic cohort, supporting future at-home metabolic health monitoring and precision medicine.
