  • Biography

    Gemma currently teaches into the spinal musculoskeletal area within the Physiotherapy program at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She completed her undergraduate Physiotherapy degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has a Sports Science degree from Coventry University in the UK. Gemma completed her post graduate Masters at Curtin University and is currently undertaking her Doctorate at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle. She has 18 years of clinical experience holding senior ED and out-patient musculoskeletal roles within the hopital system in Dublin, Ireland and Senior clinician roles in private practice and custodial services in Perth. Gemma has also worked closely with elite sporting teams. Her current research interests include investigating the nature of the knee pain experience in knee osteoarthritis and the role central nervous system dysfunction can play.
