  • Biography

    Jon Castle is a Registered Physiotherapist with 19 years of clinical experience and five years in physiotherapy education across Australia and the UK. He has held academic appointments as Lecturer of Physiotherapy at Brunel University London (2021–2024), Clinical Educator and Sessional Academic at Curtin University (2024–2025), and currently serves as Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
    Jon has led courses and streams in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain neuroscience for both undergraduate and graduate-entry master’s students. His teaching portfolio spans anatomy, pathophysiology, movement sciences, clinical rehabilitation, and foundational clinical skills. He has coordinated clinical placements, supervised students in practice settings, and managed a student-led clinic, all with a focus on enhancing clinical education and student engagement.

    Jon graduated in the inaugural cohort from the University of Notre Dame Australia’s School of Physiotherapy in 2006 and is delighted to have returned as a lecturer. Clinically, he has extensive experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, working in Australia (2007–2012, 2024–present) and the UK (2012–2024) across a range of private practice and multidisciplinary settings. Jon is committed to excellence in patient care and student education, aiming to make meaningful contributions to physiotherapy and higher education.
