  • Biography

    Dr Zulli joined The University of Notre Dame in 2025 after spending 14 years at Victoria University in Melbourne.  He received a Peter Doherty Fellowship in 2009 based at the University of Melbourne (Austin Health). Dr Zulli's research focuses on repurposing drugs to inhibit the detrimental effects of cancer treatment, as well as discovering new medications to treat high blood pressure and heart disease. Dr Zulli has been previously funded by the National Heart Foundation and NHMRC.  His pharmacology laboratory is equipped with 120 organ bath units, were he studies blood vessels from the microvasculature (60 micron diameter) to large conduit arteries (2-4mm diameter). His research utilises rabbits, rats, guinea pigs and mice. He has published over 110 manuscripts, attracted nearly $2 million in funds and collaborates with local, national and international scientists.
