Research expertise and supervision
My research experiences are primarily quantitative, although I have collaborated on a number of qualitative projects. Much of the research experiences have centred on clinical trials, some observational, some interventional. I have worked across many study designs from online surveys, to nominal group technique, Delphi studies, cohort studies, RCTs, systematic and integrative reviews, meta-analysis, clinical practice recommendations and guidelines development. Settings have ranged from critical care to acute & sub-acute to community, and the breadth of cohorts has equally been diverse across the lifespan and from the critically ill, to the general/abdominal and cardiac surgery cohorts, to neuromuscular disease, intellectual disability, mental illness, incontinence and those with chronic respiratory disease.
As primary supervisor I have supervised to completion 3 PhD, 1 Masters, and 16 honours students across three universities.
