  • Biography

    Vikki's academic career started whilst she was operating her own PR Consultancy on the East Coast. Over the years the consultancy has been engaged by a number of clients from varying industries including local and state government, mining and resources, community groups, and Not For Profit organisations including the Mater Hospital and the North Queensland Sports Foundation, Surf Life Saving, National Heart Foundation, and the Queensland Law Society.

    Vikki's academic career started whilst she was operating her own PR Consultancy on the East Coast.

    It was during this time that Vikki started teaching at a Tertiary level, both TAFE and University. What quickly became apparent to her was a disconnect between the teaching of theory and opportunities for students to apply that theory to 'real life' situations and organisations, thus VIkki developed her own teaching style that incorporates practical learning with theoretical concepts - a practice she has continued to develop with some success as a university lecturer.

    It is because of this teaching style that Vikki became one of the teaching staff members at Notre Dame. SInce joining the university Vikki and her students have worked with many organisations interstate and around Fremantle, such as the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, Taro Analytics, Bethanie, Me Bob Puzzles, WAVE radio, South of Perth Yacht Club, St Pat's Rack, to name a few, researching and developing and preparing a variety of Marketing and Public Relations collateral to assist businesses in their strategic planning and promotion whilst giving students the experience of working with 'live case studies' in 'real world' situations.
