  • Biography

    Anne Fielder is a socio-legal lecturer and researcher with over ten years of teaching experience in Law and Criminology disciplines. She has taught across a range of subject areas, including Trusts, Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and Contemporary Issues in Criminal Justice.

    Anne’s teaching is grounded in a strong commitment to creating warm, inclusive learning environments that emphasise practical skills and active learning. Her approach focuses on developing students’ legal reasoning, ethical awareness, and professional capability, preparing them to enter the legal profession as socially-minded and competent practitioners.

    As a lived-experience and participatory action researcher, Anne’s work sits at the intersection of legal education, criminal justice reform, and socio-legal inquiry. Additionally, she draws on long-standing professional relationships with organisations such as Outcare and the Justice Reform Initiative to incorporate practice-informed and community-engaged perspectives on criminal justice issues into both her teaching and research.
