  • Biography

    Audrey is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Midwife (RM) with 30 years’ experience in Midwifery. Audrey qualified as an RM in 1990 in Scotland where she worked in the local tertiary hospital for several years them moved into a community post. During this time, she was a caseload holder and worked within a continuity of care model of midwifery. Latterly she worked with vulnerable families before moving to Australia in 2007. Since moving to Australia, she has worked as a clinical midwife in a large midwifery unit, and then as part of the education team as the Midwifery Graduate Coordinator. She then worked in a smaller but very busy public maternity unit where she temporarily held positions as a midwifery clinical specialist and the unit manager. During this time Audrey also worked as part of the clinical risk team. Audrey has worked as a casual and sessional lecturer as well as a clinical facilitator for different universities and completed her Master of Healthcare Studies in 2016.
