  • Biography

    Marie graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1998. After completing a perioperative rotation in her Graduate Program at FHHS, Marie discovered her passion for perioperative nursing and has continued to be involved in this specialty, gaining over 20 years experience. An interest in supporting students and junior nurses saw Marie move into education roles including Staff Development Nurse and Clinical Educator in perioperative departments in WA and Victoria.

    Marie commenced work at The University of Notre Dame School of Nursing in 2019, commencing as a Clinical Facilitator and tutor. She currently works in the Professional Practice Team as a lecturer and coordinator of the Professional Practice Course for semester four students, as well as tutoring within the perioperative undergraduate course. Marie is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to support students to reach their learning goals.

    She has obtained a Graduate Diploma of Health (Perioperative Nursing) and is committed to an ethos of lifelong learning, updating her knowledge and skills through continued clinical roles and professional development sessions.
