• Biography

  Sister Mary Julian Ekman is a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan. She obtained a B.A. (Liberal Arts) Degree at the University of Sydney, then studied Philosophy at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.,(PhL, PhD) where she defended her doctoral dissertation, "Self-Love as a Principle of Perfection in the Metaphysics of St Thomas Aquinas."

  Before returning to Sydney in October 2017, Sister Mary Julian worked in Rome and in the United Kingdom. Sister Mary Julian's areas of interest are in Ethics, Moral Philosophy, Natural Law and Personalism.
