Mike Conry

Mike is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience in financial management of both listed and unlisted organisations within the public, private and government sectors.  Prior to joining The University of Notre Dame as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance and Chief Operating Officer in October 2020, Mike worked at Murdoch University for sixteen years, the last eight being in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Mike was at KPMG for nine years, predominantly in the area of External Audit.

As Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance and Chief Operating Officer, Mike is the lead financial advisor to the Vice-Chancellor and University Executive. Mike’s portfolio encompasses Finance, Information Technology, People and Culture, Campus Infrastructure and Facilities, Strategy, Planning and Performance, Service Improvement and Enterprise and Commercial, and University Operations, supporting the University’s strategic direction, operational effectiveness and long-term sustainability through integrated oversight of its core business functions.

Mike is part of the University’s executive leadership team, serving as a member of the Senior Management Group and Chair of the University’s Operations Group.

He is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
