Professor Selma Alliex

Professor Selma Alliex is a respected academic leader and long-standing staff member at The University of Notre Dame Australia.

She has held several senior executive roles across the University, including the Dean of the School of Nursing (Fremantle and Broome) where she also actively engaged in teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervised higher degree research students.

As Pro Vice Chancellor, Enabling and Nursing.  Professor Alliex leads strategic initiatives that enhance the overall student experience. With a strong commitment to student-centred education, she has played a key role in strengthening the University’s learning environment for both domestic and international students. Her portfolio includes oversight of Indigenous Student Support and Success, Vocational Education and Training, leadership of the Notre Dame Broome Campus and Nursing.

With experience as a Registered Nurse, Professor Alliex is also committed to community engagement and service. She has held governance positions on multiple boards, including the North Metropolitan Health Service Board and Sacred Heart College Board, and currently serves as a Director on the Mercy Care Board.

Professor Alliex completed her Master's qualification in India and was awarded a PhD from Curtin University in Western Australia.
