Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health
Majarlin facilitates quality allied health and nursing clinical placements for students from all Australian universities. We provide support for students through placement facilitation, supervision, education, social networking, travel and accommodation. Local clinicians are provided with professional development and opportunities to conduct quality remote health research.

Majarlin is one of 22 University Departments of Rural Health in Australia funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. It is located in the unique Kimberley region in the north of Western Australia.

Placements & registration
Allied health and nursing students
We organise placements for students in Broome and across the Kimberley. Undertaking a placement in the Kimberley provides a blend of academic, professional, social and cultural experiences underpinned by a strong theme of inter-professional education.
To receive a placement through Majarlin you must first register your expression of interest with your university placement team. Your university will liaise with us to confirm your Kimberley placement. Once you receive confirmation from your university, you will need to complete your Majarlin registration for each block you have been allocated.
