Alexandra Burt and Leonie Baldock
For Alexandra Burt and Leonie Baldock, supporting The University of Notre Dame Australia was an opportunity to honour their father’s belief in the power of education.
The late Michael J. M. Wright was a respected businessman, philanthropist and former Governor of the University whose commitment to learning, leadership and service helped shape Notre Dame during its formative years. His daughters share his conviction that education has the power to transform lives and create opportunities for future generations.

Through their family's remarkable philanthropic support, Alexandra and Leonie have helped strengthen Notre Dame's mission and create lasting opportunities for students and researchers. Their generosity reflects not only a commitment to the University, but also a desire to continue their father's legacy of investing in people, knowledge and the common good. In recognition of the Wright family's transformational gift, Notre Dame's Fremantle library was named the Michael J. M. Wright Library, a fitting tribute to a man who valued learning deeply and believed in the potential of every student.
