Unique Student Identifier (USI)

The USI is a government initiative for students undertaking nationally recognised training or a higher education qualification. Students must have a USI to receive commonwealth financial assistance as well as to obtain their qualification.

The USI is a reference number made up of ten numbers and letters. Your USI will be used for all future study and you only need to create this once. Further information about the USI can be found on the government’s USI website.
