Among those recognised for their exceptional contributions to healthcare were Notre Dame alumni Dr Corey Dalton, Dr Patrick McNamara, Dr Dean McKittrick, and Dr Andrew Leech.

The awards ceremony, known for highlighting the pinnacle of general practice achievements, showcased individuals and organisations dedicated to enhancing patient care and community health.

Dr Andrew Leech, recognised for his contributions to child and adolescent health, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reflected on the values instilled by Notre Dame.

"Being recognised by the RACGP reinforces the importance of the compassionate, patient-centered care we were taught at Notre Dame,” said Dr Leech.

“A medical school that teaches doctors to be compassionate above all else, and understanding of the whole person for who they are, not just as their illness or disease.”

Executive Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Midwifery, and Health Sciences Professor Rathan Subramaniam praised the alumni for their achievements.

"We are immensely proud of our alumni who have been honoured by the RACGP. Their dedication and service to healthcare excellence reflects the core values of Notre Dame.
