The University of Notre Dame Australia is excited to announce a significant expansion of its Broadway campus with the addition of a state-of-the-art building for Nursing and Midwifery at 140 Myrtle Street, Chippendale.
Starting in 2026, the University will be relocating our Nursing and Midwifery programs from Darlinghurst to a fully refurbished building, close to the heart of our Broadway campus.
This new facility offers spacious facilities with more room for learning, teaching and collaboration including:
- Advanced Simulation Laboratories designed to simulate real-life clinical situations, helping students develop practical skills in a realistic environment.
- Modern Tutorial Spaces for interactive learning and group activities.
- Breakout Areas for group work and self-directed study.
- End-of-Trip Facilities Secure bike storage and lockers to support an active lifestyle.
- Self-Serve Areas: Kitchenettes on each level with water dispensers, sinks, and space for fridges or vending machines.
Situated just a 5-minute walk from our expanding Broadway campus, the new home for Nursing and Midwifery offers easy access to the student library, student hub, and other key resources. Its proximity to Central Station and Broadway ensures excellent public transport options.
The move provides a dedicated home for Nursing and Midwifery students and allows for the consolidation and expansion of the School of Medicine at Darlinghurst.
The University of Notre Dame Australia is confident that this new space will significantly enhance the educational experience for its Nursing and Midwifery students, providing them with the facilities and environment needed to excel in their studies.
In addition to our recent acquisition and development of the Blackfriars Precinct, this new space will enable the continuation and expansion of our commitment to excellence in the development of professions, especially for the high-demand sectors of Health and Education.
The University looks forward to welcoming Nursing and Midwifery students to their new home at Myrtle Street and is excited about the opportunities this move will bring.
