Master of Religious Education

Designed to be completed in one year of full-time study, the Master of Religious Education is a specialised program aimed at those in leadership positions or teachers working in the area of Religious Education. This degree provides a solid theological and educational grounding, developing your religious education knowledge. To accommodate your work and family commitments, this degree is available in flexible modes both online and in person.
Why study this degree?
Flexible, well-structured and contemporary in its focus, this Master of Religious Education program will appeal to experienced teachers who wish to gain a solid theological and educational grounding to become religious educators and school leaders.
The degree, which consists of eight courses, can be completed in one year of full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study. Classes are available in a mix of modes: Intensive (during school holidays), Semi-intensive (four Saturdays over a semester) and External or Online. Study can be done entirely in externally/online mode if this is more suitable.
The Master of Religious Education is designed to provide you with the maximum flexibility to choose subjects that interest you. In addition to the four core Religious Education and Theology courses, you are free to choose four electives from these disciplines. - Hold the equivalent of a four year teaching qualification;
- A GPA of at least 2.5 or higher; and
- At least three years of professional experience in either a primary or secondary school setting.
