Master of Nursing (Perioperative Nursing)

School of Nursing & Midwifery, Fremantle Campus

If you are a Registered Nurse looking to improve your career prospects with a higher level of formal qualification, then Our Master of Nursing (Perioperative Nursing) program is the ideal option. Held part-time across two semesters, you will have the opportunity to specialise in the field of perioperative nursing, working with patients who are having invasive surgery.

  • Why study this degree?

Studying a Master of Nursing is a useful career pathway if you are a Registered Nurse and you want to formalise your qualifications or perhaps develop a specialist knowledge in a particular area of healthcare.

Our Master of Nursing (Perioperative Nursing) can be completed over two semesters of part-time study. You will have already completed a Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing at Notre Dame’s Fremantle Campus. You should discuss your study program with the School’s postgraduate coordinator beforehand – you will generally choose a thesis subject relevant to your specialist area of nursing practice.

The Master of Nursing is designed to help you as Registered Nurse by further developing your knowledge and improving your skills so that you can operate at an advanced level.

As a Master’s student, you will be allocated a research supervisor who will help you choose a relevant research subject and oversee the completion of the program.
