• Biography

  A/Professor Haik is a surgeon from Israel with a strong background in burns and disaster medicine.
  
  Josef is a specialist in Burns/ Reconstruction Plastic Surgery. He is the current Director of the National Intensive Care Burn Unit and Director of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel. A/Professor Haik is affiliated with the Tel Aviv University where he holds an adjunct appointment with the Faculty of Surgery. Dr Haik has approximately 100 research articles, case reports and book chapters that span almost three decade of experience.
  
  Josef has joined the IHR to facilitate greater collaboration between his own research and that being undertaken with the Burn Injury Research Node at the University of Notre Dame.
