  • Biography

    Raoul is currently the Research Manager in the School of Medicine responsible for School research direction and policy, Higher Degree by Research enrolments as well as ethics and grant processes.

    He has a background in Psychology, completing both undergraduate and PhD qualifications at the University of Western Australia. His doctoral research was focused on human speech rhythms, particularly in the modality of dialogue. Following this he undertook post-doctoral work investigating the psychological underpinnings of bushfire preparedness at the community level across Australia for which he still has a strong interest.

    Raoul has a keen interest in research methodology and statistics, having also taught in this area previously, and is currently running the School of Medicine Honours program alongside Prof Kathryn Hird. His most recent research interests center around medical education, particularly in the areas of selection, simulation and emotional intelligence.
