  • Biography

    Tim Smartt is a Research Associate and Lecturer in Philosophy at the Institute for Ethics & Society at the University of Notre Dame Australia in Sydney. His research focuses on epistemology, ethics, and decision theory/practical rationality. He is the co-convener (with Associate Professor David Bronstein) of the Institute’s Moral Philosophy & Ethics Education research program.

    Tim is currently completing his PhD at the University of Sydney (expected 2023). He also holds a BA (Hons 1) and MPhil (High Distinction) in philosophy from the University of Sydney, and has been a visiting graduate student at Princeton University, King’s College London, and the University of Chicago.
