Dr Moti Harats

Dr Moti Harats is a burns surgeon residing in Israel. Graduated from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem (Hons), Dr Harats has a strong background and interest in the area of burns/plastics and trauma research. Prior to undertaking his medical studies he undertook a MSc in computer science and computational biology.

As a specialist in Burns/ Reconstruction Plastic Surgery he is a senior consultant at the National Intensive Care Burn Unit within the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel which is affiliated with the Tel Aviv University. Moti is the lead PI in a number of clinical trials in the field of burns, wound healing and reconstructive surgery at the Sheba Medical Center.

Moti has joined the IHR to enable greater collaboration between his own research and that being undertaken with the Burn Injury Research Node at the University of Notre Dame, including the introduction of on-line learning tools.
