  • Biography

    Dianne is a registered nurse and midwife with four decades of nursing experience, and remains passionate and commitment to the nursing profession. Career spans from metropolitan to rural and remote sites, and private to public health areas inclusive of general, midwifery, child and maternal health all the while maintaining staff and professional development portfolios since 1985.

    Previously, Dianne was the Coordinator of Nursing Professional Development and Research but currently is a sessional lecturer and tutor for the undergraduate nursing at School of Nursing and Midwifery at Notre Dame. She also works as a private Education Consultant who provides career development and coaching/mentoring, resume and selection criteria including interview preparation.  As such, she has a strong interest in the sustainability of the nursing workforce, specifically recruitment and retention of male graduate nurses.

    PhD thesis title: The lived experience of the newly graduated West Australian Metropolitan male registered nurse.
