  • Biography

    As the Assistant Postgraduate Coordinator and Lecturer at Notre Dame, Tracey facilitates integrated learning courses in clinical, critical care and perioperative nursing. She has had many years of experience in the hospital acute care sector in health care policy development, student placement and general and paediatric staff education roles.

    Her research is focused on the newly qualified graduate registered nurse employed within a graduate programme. The study aims to articulate the impact of the clinical nurse educators’ leadership and educational role in supporting the graduate nurses’ patient outcomes. The results will have significance for the continuing development and substantiation of the educators’ role and leadership potential specifically related to the role of advocate for the graduates first year of nursing and the quality and safety of their patient care in healthcare organisations.
