  • Biography

    Katrina is an experienced population health researcher and biostatistician. She has over 17 years’ experience using population-level linked data to investigate the epidemiology and patient health outcomes across a diverse range of health-related research projects.

    She has been a member on the WA Department of Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) member since 2009 (including 3 years as Deputy Chair); reviewer for the Curtin University HREC since 2008; member of the Scientific Committee of the International Data Linkage Conference 2012 held in Perth and abstract reviewer for 2016 International Data Linkage Conference held in Swansea, UK. She has co-supervised numerous Honours, Masters and PhD students over her career.

    She has over 90 publications that include 73 published journal research articles, and 17 journal published conference proceedings and one book chapter.  She has published internationally in biological sciences, clinical and public health journals.  Katrina has been an investigator on successful research funding applications totalling $1.8 million.
