For Business student and The Sir Frank Ledger Trust Scholarship recipient Reiniera, working in events management for Moore & Moore, a local business that focuses on giving back to the community, ignited her passion to help others through business.

The scholarship recipient was particularly inspired by creating shared value after coordinating a Cook for Syria event, with proceeds donated directly to UNICEF to assist Syrian Children.

“The event inspired me to look at how business practices can benefit the company, as well as the community. I aspire to be part of an organisation which helps shape the community through the medium of business,” Reiniera says.

“The reason I chose to study business was that I was getting to a point in my career, at 27 years of age, where I felt I needed to increase my opportunities and develop my understanding of the business world. It wasn’t so much that I wanted to change my career – I felt the urge to enhance it.”

The Business student described receiving The Sir Frank Ledger Trust Scholarship as ‘inspiring'.

Receiving this support has instilled confidence in me. I owe it not only to myself; but to others to do my best. It has pushed me and inspired me to excel as a form of gratitude to those who awarded me this financial assistance and to the donors who so generously support students like me.
