As one of the first students to enrol on the Sydney Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia, James is part of the University's success story.

James began his Bachelor of Arts degree at Notre Dame in 2006, graduating three years later. After graduation he worked as Director of Digital Consulting at KPMG and became the state MP for Manly in 2017, replacing former NSW Premier Mike Baird.

"It was an interesting and exciting time to be starting as part of the first cohort here in Sydney, I certainly appreciated being a part of what I knew was going to grow into something fantastic," James said.

Together with the personalised application process and great connections developed through practicum placements, James said he was able to gather further understanding as part of his studies and walked out of university into a job.

"Employers have a great appreciation of the type of student that comes out of Notre Dame," James said. "Notre Dame assisted me to establish the foundations for thinking broadly about the deeper things in life."
