When Chinese student Yukun was considering his undergraduate study options, he wanted a hands-on degree that would be useful in everyday life. He’s found just that with Notre Dame’s Bachelor of Commerce.

“I chose Notre Dame based on the unique entry process and smaller classes,” Yukun says. “All the lecturers are happy to answer your questions at anytime and they want to help you do your best.”

Studying in Sydney’s dynamic, global business environment, Yukun has completed a 150-hour practical placement with a start-up company as part of his degree.

“The knowledge of business concepts relates to our day to day life and everything we learn is applied to real-world scenarios,” Yukun says. “The internship has taught me how to put what we learn in class into practice.”

Outside of his studies, Yukun has been making the most of life in Australia – trying his hand at surfing, diving and hiking in the Blue Mountains. He's also made the most of student clubs as President of the Business Society, and student services like Sport at Notre Dame.

“A highlight of my degree was the national Uni Games, competing in taekwondo and baseball,” he says. “It felt really good to represent Notre Dame against universities from all over Australia, and meet some great people.”
