Example of Chicago in-text citation

Put a superscript number at the end of a paraphrased sentence.

Example:

Sociology studies have tried to identify the common values which exist in Australian society.1


Example of Chicago footnote

The footnote has the in-text citation number, author, title of the book in italics, edition (if applicable), then in brackets the place of publication, publisher, and year of publication, and finally, the page number or page range.

Example:

1. Fernando M. Reimers, Educating Students to Improve the World, (Singapore: Springer, 2020), 39.


Example of Chicago end-text reference

The end-text reference in the bibliography has the author, title of the book in italics, edition (if applicable), place of publication, publisher, and year of publication.

Reimers, Fernando M. Educating Students to Improve the World. Singapore: Springer, 2020.
