“A dream of mine is to use my degree for the greater good, and work where nurses are needed in critical conditions – whether it be overseas, or in remote areas of Australia,” is the motivation of Diploma of Nursing graduate, Dana.

The Broome-based student is motivated to continue her nursing studies through the eye-opening practicum placements she deceived throughout her Diploma of Nursing studies, and aspires to continue her studies with a Bachelor of Nursing at Notre Dame.

“I have met countless amazing individuals through my placements, people who I will never forget who have shared their amazing nursing journey and skills with me.”

“Traveling to Kununurra and Derby to complete placements was fantastic, as it took me out of my comfort zone which was necessary to learn more.”

Speaking of the tight knit community of the University, Dana says “the students and lecturers were incredible, we are like a big family all wanting to learn more and never afraid to share our thoughts with each other.”
