  • Biography

    Susan has extensive experience across many clinical areas including medical, surgical, emergency and critical/acute care. her main clinical focus is Surgical High Dependency where she has held positions as Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse Educator. Susan also has extensive experience in facilitating learning for undergraduate student nurses, student enrolled nurses and overseas qualified and refresher/re-entry nurses.

    She has a passion for engaging students in contextually meaningful simulation experiences and in ensuring graduates are clinically competent. She has extensive experience in assessing students and both Registered Nurses (Div 1) and Enrolled Nurses(Div 2) nurses against the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia(NMBA) standards and codes including the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.

    Susan has held appointments in conducting performance assessments for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of NSW.
