Preparing your application

Review the advertisement and requirements to assess your suitability for the position.

Get to know who we are on our Jobs at UNDA page, what it’s like working for a Catholic university and how you can contribute to the Objects of the University to help you decide if Notre Dame is the right fit for you.

In your application, please include the following information:

Resume
Your resume should detail your current and previous work experience, educational background and current contact details.

Cover letter
Tell us how you have the skills, experience and capabilities required for the position.

It is recommended that you:

  • state clearly and concisely how/why you meet the requirements of the job; and
  • provide a relevant example(s) to support your claims.

Referees
Your application should include the names and contact details of two referees (minimum) who can comment on your work performance, preferably from a manager or supervisor.

Right to work in Australia, qualifications and registrations
You must have current and valid work rights in Australia to apply for a position at Notre Dame. The following can be used to evidence your legal right to work:

  1. Australian Birth Certificate or passport;
  2. Australian Certificate of Citizenship;
  3. Visa grant notice that outlines your work entitlements in Australia AND a copy of your international passport.

If you are selected as a preferred candidate for a position, you will need to submit copies of your:

  • work rights;
  • academic qualifications;
  • any registrations; and
  • other clearances relevant to the position such as a Police Clearance, medical clearance or Working with Children Check.
