  • Welcome from the Executive Dean

    Welcome to the Faculty of Arts, Sciences, Law and Business. Our faculty comprises two vibrant schools: the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Law & Business. Our national Faculty is based on three distinct campuses in Fremantle, Sydney and Broome.

    The work of our faculty is underpinned by the Catholic intellectual tradition which ensures our programs are designed to educate you for life as well as for your profession. Our Catholic identity supports a unique liberal education that values the development of critical thinking, debate of ideas, creativity and the search for truth in all areas of knowledge.

    Our undergraduate programs allow you to combine the development of professional qualifications with studies that enrich you personally. Similarly, our postgraduate programs provide opportunities to develop depth in your discipline area, support a career change, or gain a professional qualification. Our programs are flexible and include many opportunities for work integrated learning so you develop connections to industry as you study. Our areas of study include arts, architecture, archaeology, environmental management, literature, film and screen studies, journalism, behavioural sciences, counselling, law, commerce, human resources, communications and media, public relations and marketing, just to name a few.

    Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery & Health Sciences. Our Faculty brings together three outstanding Schools; Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, and Health Sciences all united by a shared purpose to educate, train and inspire the next generation of health and exercise professionals while undertaking research that delivers meaningful, real-world impact.

    Across all disciplines, we are committed to providing excellent, evidence-based education delivered by academics who are leaders in their fields. Our programs are designed to ensure graduates are not only academically strong, but also compassionate, ethical and prepared for the realities of professional practice. Central to our approach is a strong focus on pastoral care and individual student support, recognising the importance of wellbeing, belonging and personal growth throughout the student journey.

    Our Faculty offers a comprehensive range of disciplines including Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science, Exercise and Sports Science, Paramedicine, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Speech Pathology and Health Sciences.     The School of Education has built a strong reputation for graduating students who are well-prepared to take on the vitally important role of educating our children and young people. We have done this by offering a relevant program aligned with curriculum demands and the needs of our stakeholders in various education sectors. We are committed to developing specialised courses and establishing partnerships with different systems to provide rural placements in the final year of university.
