Email and storage

Upon enrolment, Notre Dame provides each student with an email account. To access your student email, log in to the MyND Portal or access Outlook online using your Notre Dame email address and password.

To set up email on your personal device, please follow the guides provided below.

Email security and support

If you use a public or shared computer, click "No" when prompted to stay signed in and "Don't Save" if prompted to save your password. Setting up safe senders and recipients is recommended to ensure you receive all Notre Dame emails.

Please note that Microsoft manages student email via Office 365, which monitors all sent and received emails. As part of the University's Microsoft Agreement, students are granted access to the latest version of Microsoft Office for university-related purposes.

Online storage

OneDrive

OneDrive offers personal file storage facilities to users. It is a secure location to save study-related files, initial document drafts, and other files online. OneDrive can be used as a substitute for USB drives and portable storage devices.

It is important to save your file before leaving the OneDrive portal as the IT support staff cannot retrieve lost or corrupt files.

File Server

All students have a personal storage space on a central storage system called shared drives. There are two types of shared drives available for students to use:

  • H:\ Drive, which is a personal drive linked to an individual account and cannot be viewed by other students, and
  • S:\ Drive, which is a shared drive for students to share files and folders with one another.

These drives are accessible on all campus computers and remotely through the File Server. They all have the same folder structure as the shared drives on campus computers.

The File Server is accessible at https://my.nd.edu.au/sfs and also via the MyNDPortal.
