Academic Merit Scholarships

Academic Merit Scholarships aim to reward the academic achievements of commencing students at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

The selection of recipients of the Academic Merit Scholarships will be based on the applicant’s academic record and contribution to school and community life, as presented in their application for admission, supporting documents and admission interview.

No scholarship application form is required, as eligible students are automatically nominated for consideration by the selection committee.

These scholarships are offered by the University and recipients will be notified in late January.

  • Bernie and Mary Prindiville Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Dianne Wansbrough Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Oblate Fathers' Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a student from Mazenod College to commence tertiary education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Prendiville Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a student from Aquinas College to commence tertiary education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Roy & Amy Galvin Family Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Business at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Sacred Heart Parish Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Vice Chancellor's Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student who wishes to study in any School at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Willetton Parish Scholarship 

    Award Winner: Miss Rachael Simmonds

    Value: Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Arts and Sciences at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus.

  • Catholic Education Commission of WA Year 12 Catholic School Graduate (Teacher Education Scholarship)

    The Catholic Education Commission of WA awards ten scholarships for Year 12 students graduating from Catholic schools each year who have chosen to study a teaching degree at The University of Notre Dame Australia. These scholarships are worth $10,000 towards the cost of their Commonwealth Supported Place over the four years of their degree, $2,500 per year.

    These students will be selected on the basis of:

    a. High achievement in their year 12 studies;
    b. Suitability for the vocation of teaching as judged by references and interview;
    c. Participation and leadership in their school community; and
    d. Understanding and commitment to the Objects of The University of Notre Dame Australia which provides a university education in the context of Catholic faith and values.
