  • Catholic Education Commission of WA Year 12 Catholic School Graduate (Teacher Education Scholarship)

    The Catholic Education Commission of WA awards ten scholarships for Year 12 students graduating from Catholic schools each year who have chosen to study a teaching degree at The University of Notre Dame Australia. These scholarships are worth $10,000 towards the cost of their Commonwealth Supported Place over the four years of their degree, $2,500 per year.

    These students will be selected on the basis of:

    a. High achievement in their year 12 studies;
    b. Suitability for the vocation of teaching as judged by references and interview;
    c. Participation and leadership in their school community; and
    d. Understanding and commitment to the Objects of The University of Notre Dame Australia which provides a university education in the context of Catholic faith and values.

  • Education Students' Assistance Fund

    The Education Students' Assistance Fund has been established to help alleviate financial burden on students experiencing unexpected and relatively short-term difficulty and is awarded solely on students' needs assessment.

  • The HELYRON Education Scholarship

    Value: $3,000 plus tuition fees

    The HELYRON Education Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious students, for whom educational opportunities are limited because of financial need, to commence a teaching degree through providing assistance with their education related expenses and by meeting the cost of their course tuition fees for their first year of studies.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship applicants must:

    1. Be enrolled in the first year of one of the following courses:
      1. Bachelor of Education; or
      2. Master of Education; or
      3. Master of Teaching;
    2. Be enrolled on a full time basis;
    3. Be a citizen of permanent resident of Australia;
    4. Have completed their secondary education at a Catholic School in Western Australia;
    5. Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to financial need as evidenced by:
      1. The receipt of a means tested Commonwealth income support payment (such as Youth Allowance, Health Care Card, Austudy, or ABSTUDY); or
      2. The provision of a statutory declaration/s demonstrating financial need; and
    6. Have their application for the Scholarship endorsed by their school Principal if the applicant is a first year Bachelor of Education as listed in 4.a) i) of Scholarship Conditions.

  • The Knights of the Southern Cross Waldron Education Scholarship

    Value: $2,500

    The Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious students enrolled in the School of Education, Fremantle at The University of Notre Dame Australia (University), to commence a teaching degree with a view to teach in the Catholic Education System.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship applicants must:

    1. Be enrolled in the first year of one of the following courses:
      1. Bachelor of Education; or
      2. Master of Education; or
      3. Master of Teaching;
    2. Be enrolled on a full time basis; and
    3. Be undertaking their studies internally.
