Graduate Certificate in Nursing
School of Nursing & Midwifery, Fremantle Campus
Are you a Registered Nurse with a nursing degree or perhaps a highly experienced nurse with no degree? Regardless of your situation, a Graduate Certificate in Nursing will serve you well. The Graduate Certificate program, available on a part-time basis, provides a fast track into a formal nursing qualification. The program can also be easily combined with your existing work commitments and your family as it has a limited number of contact hours each week.
Why study this degree?
Taking a Graduate Certificate in Nursing is rewarding for Registered Nurses who wish to formalise their qualifications or perhaps develop a specialist knowledge in a particular area of healthcare. The program requires a minimum of one year part-time study. As a graduate, you can then choose to further your qualifications with a Graduate Diploma of Nursing, which requires an additional year of study, and, a Master of Nursing (Coursework), which can be completed over an additional two semesters of part-time study.
The Graduate Certificate and Diploma programs are open to you if you do not have a nursing degree, but have accumulated plenty of practical experience as a Registered Nurse. Notre Dame provides a nurturing environment that will allow you to sharpen your skills and challenge you to succeed in your chosen field.
You will select subjects from the following areas:
- Mental Health
- Professional Development
- Management and Leadership
Full details of the program requirements are contained in the Program Regulations.
The following entry requirements apply to this program:
