Why study this program?
At Notre Dame’s School of Business, you will be taught by passionate and dedicated educators who are all respected leaders in their fields. This ensures you will develop the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly-changing work environment.
As part of the program, you will be required to study four core subjects, exploring issues related to business ethics, accounting, strategic management, leadership and HR management. You will then have the opportunity to tailor your program with four electives.
Upon completing the diploma, you will have the opportunity to pursue further studies at a master’s level, furthering your competitive edge in the workplace.

- Ethical Issues in Professional Life
- Strategic Management and Planning
- Leadership: Theory and Practice or Human Resource Management

Entry requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Business applicants must also meet the following specific requirements.
- A Graduate Certificate in a business discipline or studies sufficient to meet the requirements of that Award; or
- A recognised undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) plus a minimum of four years’ experience in managerial and/or supervisory roles.
- Where the applicant does not meet the criteria in 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 above, the Dean may approve admission to this program if the Dean is satisfied that:
- the applicant has sufficient background and/or experience in management/supervision; and*
- the applicant has the skills necessary to complete postgraduate studies

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of Business graduates will be able to:
- Apply the management skills necessary to lead a team in the business community
- Apply the management skills necessary to plan and manage a financially sustainable business
- Deploy contemporary management theory
- Develop processes and practices needed to meet the regulatory environment under which business operates
- Create community and customer engagement strategies
- Effectively analyse and manage ethical matters
- Employ critical reflection to encourage on-going learning to maintain and improve professional knowledge and skills;
- Be able to think critically, reason and use judgment in preparation for of their professional practice; and
- Use evidence-based research in preparation of professional analysis and advice.

Scholarships
Scholarships provide financial support to students while they are completing their studies. There are various scholarships available to prospective and current students, across all study levels and campuses.
These can be funded by Notre Dame, industry, individuals and non-profit organisations, to provide financial assistance to students to support costs associated with study. This could include buying food, paying rent, transport, and household bills, raising children as single parents, being a single-income household, becoming unemployed or caring for a sick loved one.

This Program has the following loan scheme(s) available for eligible students:
Domestic Fee-Paying
A domestic fee-paying place is a place at university where the student is responsible for the full cost the program.Eligible domestic fee-paying students may apply for the FEE-HELP loan scheme which assists eligible fee-paying students with the payment of all, or part, of their tuition fees, not including additional study costs such as accommodation or textbooks. Your FEE-HELP debt will be indexed each year in line with the Consumer Price Index.
International Full-Fee Paying
Tuition costs depend on an international student’s study load and discipline.
