  • Work Integrated Learning

A special feature of Notre Dame’s Nursing degree is the availability of substantial clinical experience. The Bachelor of Nursing program allows students to develop their skills in an intensive workplace environment. Students log 1,120 hours of practicum experience during the course of their degree. Placements take place in public and private hospitals, medical centres, community health centres and voluntary service agencies. As a result, Notre Dame Nursing graduates are highly regarded for their knowledge, critical thinking and clinical competence skills.

  • Mentoring/Academic Support

Notre Dame’s Mentor Program aims to smooth the transition from school (or work) to university life by linking first year students with student mentors. In addition, Student Success helps students formulate their goals and develop the skills and confidence needed to attain them.
