About us

The University of Notre Dame Fremantle Law School initiated a monthly UNDA Legal Clinic in 2016 that provides free legal advice to members in society who need legal assistance but have the least access to it. The UNDA Legal Clinic provides initial free legal advice by an experienced legal practitioner who volunteer their time to consult on primarily family law and related matters. The specific objectives of the UNDA Legal Clinic include:

  1. To educate and support individuals to understand and access the legal system through the provision of advice and information;
  2. To encourage professional partnerships that create an increased awareness and understanding of legal and social needs, including law reform research;
  3. To provide services and conduct activities within the context of the University’s mission and objects; and
  4. To provide an opportunity for law students at UNDA to develop their practical legal skills and understand surrounding issues experienced by members of the community.
